Consultation has concluded
WestInvest is a $5 billion NSW Government program to fund transformational infrastructure projects across 15 Western Sydney Councils, including Campbelltown.
Under the program, a $3 billion NSW Government Project Fund will deliver ready-to-go projects that will benefit local communities across Western Sydney, delivered by NSW Government agencies.
In May, Councils and community organisations were invited to apply for a share of $2 billion from a Community Project Fund.
This included a guaranteed $26.6 million allocated directly to Council and the opportunity for Council and community organisations to apply for a share of $1.6 billion from a competitive round of grants.
Our projects
Eleven projects – including a mix of community facilities, trails, pathways and public beautification projects – were submitted by Council as part of the guaranteed $26.6 million funding allocated to Campbelltown.
Projects put forward include:
Connected Campbelltown – A network of shared use pathway links and circuits
Leumeah Youth Precinct
Outdoor Fitness Facilities Program – For a Fitter Healthier Campbelltown
St Helens Park Youth Space
Glenfield Urban Bike Path
Simmos Beach Parklands – Activating the Upper Georges River
Kanbyungal Parklands – Mountain Bike Park
Macarthur Recreational Trail – Australian Botanic Garden, Mt Annan to Campbelltown Station
Hurley Park – Early Stories of Campbelltown’s Resilience
Town Centre Beautification and Public Art – Glenfield Town Centre
Campbelltown City Centre Transformation Project
A further 25 projects, including Council and community-initiated projects, have been submitted for consideration as part of the $1.6 billion competitive grant round.
