We are committed to creating a sustainable and resilient city for our community.

What we are working on during 2020/21

  • Preparing a Resilient Campbelltown Strategy to strengthen our response to the many challenges that we face from chronic stresses and acute shocks
  • Identifying greenhouse gas emission reduction pathways required for Council and the community to transition towards net zero emissions
  • Implementing initiatives from our ground breaking urban heat study to Cool Campbelltown
  • Developing conditions for sustainable development
  • Engaging with high water consuming businesses and residential strata properties to save water
  • Installing solar on Council's Early Learning Centres
  • Empowering sustainability champions in Council and the community
  • Assisting in CSIRO's Generation STEM program
