PROJECT UPDATE - Thursday 29 July 2021

Our contractor is now ready to proceed with works and once current restrictions are lifted you will begin to see them onsite and work start to progress. Once work has started on the ground, we will be able to share a new completion date with you and will keep you regularly updated on the progress of works.

PROJECT UPDATE - Friday 2 July 2021

We’re pleased to announce that JK Williams have been appointed as the new contractor for this Federal Government funded project.

JK Williams understand the urgency to get started on this project as soon as possible and you will see their surveyors on site over the next week.

Works to resolve the underground utility issue will be completed shortly with the new contractor making every effort to start work on the intersection upgrade before the end of July.

We understand the community’s frustration and the impact this delay had had on this critical intersection and the surrounding residents and will assist the contractor to mobilise as soon as possible.

As soon as we have an updated schedule of works we will share it with you.

PROJECT UPDATE - Friday 14 May 2021

While there hasn’t been much progress on the ground, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get this project restarted.

In April, the first phase of the project was temporarily stopped and we’ve now advertised the tender for the works contract and will provide you with an updated schedule as soon as it’s available to us.

In the meantime, we are progressing with the necessary underground utility portion beneath the intersection to progress with pavement works and you will start to see work commence on retaining walls.

We’re really disappointed about this delay as we understand the impact altering this critical connection point is having on so many of you.

We will keep you informed of any progress.

PROJECT UPDATE - Tuesday 20 April 2021

We are eager to restart works on the Raby Road/Eagle Vale Drive intersection upgrade and are meeting with the current contractor to plan their exit so that we can progress the underground utility works. We’re equally frustrated about this delay as we understand the impact this is having on so many of you. We are moving quickly to go out to tender in the coming weeks to engage a new contractor to complete the rest of the works and will advise the updated schedule once the new contractor is on board.

There is some major infrastructure running beneath the intersection of Eagle Vale Drive that we need the utility authority to review before works can proceed. We will let you know as soon as we have an update.
