Public Exhibition of a Planning Proposal for the site known as Mt Gilead Urban Release Area (Schedule 1: Additional Permitted Use)

Consultation has concluded

Council is publicly exhibiting a Planning Proposal to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 in respect of Lot 1 DP 1240836 within the Mount Gilead Urban Release Area.

The Planning Proposal seeks to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 (CLEP 2015), Schedule 1 - Additional Permitted Uses and associated map.

The proposal would support the temporary use of a future community facility on the land, for use as an ‘Exhibition Home’ for the purpose of a ‘Sales and Information Centre’.

Development of the community facility is an existing requirement of the Voluntary Planning Agreement registered on the land. The community facility is required to be built within 1 year of the 1200th registered lot.

Council is the delegate for the making of the LEP in this instance.

The Planning Proposal and supporting documentation are on public exhibition from Monday 23 August 2021 until Friday 24 September 2021.

    Amendment 17 - Mt Gilead Urban Release Area

    At its meeting on 12 April 2022, Council considered a report to amend the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015, to amend Volume 2 Part 7 relating to land within the Mt Gilead Urban Release Area.

    Following consideration of the report, Council resolved as follows:

    1. That Council adopt the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015, Volume 2 Part 7 Mt Gilead in attachment 1, relating to land within the Mt Gilead Urban Release Area.

    2. That upon Council’s adoption, Volume 2 Part 7 Mt Gilead Development Control Plan be published on Council’s website and take effect from the date of publication.

    3. That the submission authors be advised of Council’s decision.

    Amendment No 17 to Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 – Gilead was exhibited to the public from 2 August 2021 through to 30 August 2021.

    In accordance with point 2 of Council’s resolution, notice is hereby given that the amended plan will come into effect on 26 April 2022, in accordance with clause 14 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.
