Public Exhibition of Draft Amendment No 13 to the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015

Consultation has concluded

Council at its meeting on 8 March 2022, resolved to exhibit Draft Amendment No 13 to the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 (the SCDCP) in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the related regulation.

The Draft Amendment proposes a number of amendments to Volume 1 – ‘Development controls for all types of development’ of the SCDCP by introducing new provisions for residential flat buildings, mixed-use and commercial developments, boarding houses, secondary dwellings, childcare centres, car parking calculations for residential dwellings and adjoining neighbour’s rights when constructing retaining walls on a common boundary.

    Amendment 13 / 18* – Housekeeping Amendments

    At its meeting on 8 March 2022, Council considered a report to amend the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015, to update a number of sections with housekeeping amendments.

    Following consideration of the report, Council resolved as follows:

    1. That Council endorse the draft Amendment No. 13 to Volume 1 of Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015, as shown in the attachments to this report for the purpose of public exhibition.
    2. That should Council receive any submissions during the public exhibition of draft Amendment No. 13, a further report be provided to Council following the completion of the public exhibition period.
    3. That where Council receives no submissions in response to draft Amendment No. 13, the amendments be formally adopted and notified in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000.

    Amendment No 13 to Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 – Housekeeping Amendments was exhibited to the public from 6 April 2022 through to 6 May 2022.

    No submissions were received as a result of the public submissions.

    In accordance with point 3 of Council’s resolution, notice is hereby given that the amended plan will come into effect on 19 May 2022, in accordance with clause 14 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.

    * Please note that the amendment will be published as amendment 18 as amendment 13 has already been used for a previous amendment.
