Consultation has concluded

Campbelltown is experiencing significant growth with our population expected to increase by over 55% to 275,000 by 2041. (Forecast I.D, 2024) To support urban growth, careful consideration and planning is required to ensure future communities can thrive in comfortable and suitable environments with green and blue assets playing a vital role in the health, social framework and economic sustainability of a successful city.

An abundance of research shows that waterways and water bodies (blue assets) and trees, landscaped gardens, green walls/roofs and turf (green assets) improve mental health and well-being, minimise stormwater run-off, enhance property values and provide a true sense of identity and place.

Across Council there is a vision and ambition to create a greener, more active and healthier Campbelltown and the development of a Green-Blue Grid Plan will assist Campbelltown in achieving this. The human, environmental and economic benefits of the blue-green grid underpin Campbelltown’s desire to be the most liveable city in Greater Sydney.
