Public Exhibition of the Planning Proposal - Review of Permissible Land Uses in the RE1 Public Recreation Zone
Campbelltown City Council invites comments on a Planning Proposal (PP-2025-1338) to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 (CLEP 2015).
The proposal seeks to amend the Land Use Table for the RE1 Public Recreation zone to include additional land uses under the heading ‘permitted with consent’.
The amendment proposes to add the following uses to the list of development permitted with consent in the RE1 Public Recreation zone:
- Centre based child care centres
- Community health services facilities
- Educational establishments
- Functions centres
- Health consulting rooms
- Medical centres
- Respite day care centres
- Places of public worship
- Take away food and drink premises
The Planning Proposal will be on public exhibition and available to view from Monday, 16 February 2026 to Wednesday, 18 March 2026 at the following locations:
- Council’s Administration Building at 91 Queen Street, Campbelltown
- HJ Daley Library at 147-157 Queen St, Campbelltown

Public exhibition commences on Monday, 16 February 2026 and submissions will be accepted until Wednesday, 18 March 2026.
Campbelltown City Council has been assigned the role of Local Plan – Making Authority in finalising the relevant amendment to Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015.
All submissions are public documents and will be considered in a final report to Council.
