Public Exhibition Notice of Kellicar Road Planning Proposal – 1 Bugden Place, Campbelltown
Consultation has concluded
Council invites public comment on a planning proposal for 1 Bugden Place, Campbelltown. This proposal seeks to amend Clause 7.9, Mixed Use Development in Zones E2 and MU1, of the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 (CLEP 2015) as it applies to this site.
The planning proposal seeks to exempt the site from the requirements of Clause 7.9, which mandates that the ground floor accommodate only non-residential land uses. The proposed exemption is subject to the condition that 3,000m² of non-residential land use be provided at ground level. The proposal does not seek any changes to other LEP provisions, such as zoning, maximum building height, or maximum floor space ratio.
The site, covering an area of 2.55 hectares, was previously occupied by a Bunnings Warehouse and is currently used for furniture retail and product recovery.
The Gateway Determination has not designated Council as the plan-making authority. The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure will exercise this role for this proposal.
The proposal has been assessed in accordance with the state and local strategic planning framework, and the public exhibition of the planning proposal was endorsed by Council at its meeting on 9 July 2024.
