Public Exhibition of a Planning Proposal for the site known as Evelyn Street, Macquarie Fields

Consultation has concluded

We are publicly exhibiting a updated Planning Proposal to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 for land on the eastern side of Evelyn Street as shown in Figure 1.

The updated Planning Proposal seeks to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 (CLEP 2015) to provide:

  • A subdivision template with “transitional” 500sqm and 1,000sqm minimum area allotments;
  • Strategic vegetation bushfire hazard and landscape character management;
  • Sensitive integration with the existing residential interface;
  • A strategic approach to community and physical infrastructure impact; and
  • Augmentation and reticulation of all essential services.

The proposed amendments would facilitate low density residential development.

Council is proposing to exercise its delegated plan making functions in relation to this rezoning, subject to there being no unresolved agency/authority objections.

The updated Planning Proposal with its supporting documentation is on public exhibition from Thursday 11 November until Thursday 9 December 2021.
