Public Exhibition of Draft Amendment No. 20 - Part 17 (Boarding Houses) of the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 (CSCDCP)

At its meeting on 14 February 2023, Council resolved to exhibit amendment No. 20 - Part 17 (Boarding Houses) of the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 (CSCDCP) so it aligns with the revised requirements specified in the State Environmental Planning Policy (Housing) 2021 (Housing SEPP).

It is also proposed to amend part 17 of the CSCDCP by introducing new ‘Co-Living Housing’ provisions which will also align with the same requirements specified under the Housing SEPP for these types of land uses.

Once adopted, the draft DCP amendment will then be included as amendment No. 20 - Part 17 (Boarding House and Co-Living Housing), as contained in Volume 1 of the CSCDCP.

The draft DCP and supporting documentation will be on public exhibition and available to view from Wednesday 1 March 2023 until Friday 31 March 2023 at the following locations:

- During business hours at Council's administration centre at 91 Queen Street, Campbelltown

- Under the documents section on the right hand side of this page

    At its meeting on Tuesday 14 February 2023, Council resolved to publicly exhibit Amendment No 17 to Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 (the draft Amendment) and subject to no submission received at the conclusion of the public exhibition, proceed with the adoption of the draft Amendment.

    The draft Amendment was placed on public exhibition from Wednesday, 1 March 2023 through until Friday, 31 March 2023, on Council’s website and at the Civic Centre. Nno submissions were received.

    Amendment No 17 primarily introduced the new ‘Co- Living Housing’ provisions and aligned the existing provisions for boarding houses under Part 17 with the State Environmental Planning Policy (Housing) 2021.

    This Amendment will come into effect and commence on Monday 8 May 2023.
