Consultation has concluded

Campbelltown City Council, at its Ordinary Meeting on 13 December 2022 has endorsed the Draft Southern Catchment Flood Study Report for public exhibition.

Council has recently completed the preparation of Flood Study for southern part of the Campbelltown local government area which includes (all or part of) Airds, Bradbury, St Helens Park, Ambarvale and Rosemeadow. The extent of this Flood Study covers Mansfield Creek and Spring Creek catchments as well as several smaller tributaries that drain to the Georges River.

This Flood Study has identified key flooding characteristics such as flood depths and speed across the study area, allowing Council to confirm the location of flooding problems and identified where flood management measures may be required to reduce the impact of flooding on the community. It also supports emergency management and guides future development and re-development so that it is compatible with the flood risk and does not create additional flooding problems in the future.
