Consultation has concluded

We have prepared some updates to our Community Participation Plan (CPP) and are seeking your comments on the changes. The updates have been made to guarantee that the CPP is up-to-date with changes to State Government legislation.

The updates relate to the following areas of the CPP:

  • Introducing requirements so the CPP is consistent with the State Government’s ‘Council-related Development Applications Conflict of Interest Guidelines’. This means that all development applications where the land is owned by the Council or the Council is the applicant will need to be exhibited to the public for 28 days.
  • Making sure that the number of days that ‘nominated integrated development’ and ‘designated development’ applications are publicly exhibited matches the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.
  • Changing the Christmas / New Year exhibition and notification extension period so that it’s consistent with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021

Aside from including the Council applications mentioned above, there are no other changes to the types of developments and plans that are notified. There are also no changes to how we will let you know about applications or new plans that require public exhibition and notification.

This consultation closed on Monday 19 June 2023.
