Thanks for your feedback. This consultation has concluded.

Council, at its meeting on 12 December 2023 endorsed the Planning Proposal which seeks to reclassify part of Kanbyugal Reserve, Campbelltown from Community land to Operational land, rezone the partly reclassified land from RE1 – Public Recreation to E4 – General Industrial, introduce a maximum building height of 19m and a minimum lot size of 4,000 m2 under the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015.

The proposal would assist in greater flexibility to occur in the future. Consistent with the Reimagining Campbelltown City Centre Master Plan, Council may investigate options for other uses that complement the existing CACF or alternatively look to expand on the existing use of the site.

Council endorsement follows the Public Exhibition of the Planning Proposal and associated documents on this page from Monday 17 July to Thursday 17 August 2023.

A public hearing, chaired by an independent person from Parkland Planners, was also held on 12 October 2023. A Public Hearing and Submissions Report was prepared under Section 29 of the Local Government Act 1993 to report to Campbelltown City Council on the public submissions made before and at the public hearing. This report made recommendations to Council regarding the proposed reclassification.

What's next

Council will now forward the Planning Proposal to the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces and request that the Planning Proposal be made.
