What is On Q?
On Q is a Council run project delivered with funding from the NSW Government’s Streets as Shared Spaces program. The program provides one-off grants to support local councils with temporary activation projects to support the community during COVID-19 and test ideas for more permanent improvements to local streets, paths and public spaces. On Q will test and trial new and innovative ideas for public spaces in Queen Street and Lithgow Street in the heart of Campbelltown.
How long does the project run for?
The project will run for 12 months and conclude in October 2021.
What can I expect to see over the next 12 months
We have an opportunity to test some of your ideas for our city. Over the next 12 months you will notice some temporary changes as we work together to test and trial and refine what works. Expect to see more greenery, trees and gardens, additional places to stop, sit and enjoy what our streets have to offer and community activities for you to get involved in and have your say.
Has community feedback been taken into account when developing the project?
On Q has been prepared with the overall community vision in mind as outlined in the Reimagining Campbelltown City Centre Masterplan. As we continue to explore and test ideas for more permanent improvements to our local streets, paths and public spaces we encourage you to get involved to ensure the success of this project.
