No, the policy does not apply retrospectively to existing memorials and monuments.
Does the policy apply to temporary roadside memorials?
No, there is a separate Roadside Memorial Policy.
Does the policy apply to crown land reserves or private property?
No, the policy only applies to public open spaces owned by Campbelltown City Council.
What is Public Open Space?
Public Open Space is public land which is in the ownership of Council, including road reserves, parks, reserves, bushland, golf courses and playing/sports fields.
What are examples of a memorial?
Commemorative plaques, memorial trees or plantings and small historical markers, not exceeding 1.0m wide x 1.0m long x 1.0m high.
What are examples of a monument?
A monument could be a sculpture, statue or structure greater than that of a memorial.
