Festival of Fisher's Ghost, a beloved tradition in our community since 1956. We are excited to offer local schools the unique opportunity to host a visit from "Fred the Ghost," who will bring to life the fascinating historical story of Fred Fisher during school assemblies.
The Festival of Fisher's Ghost, held over ten days, celebrates our rich local heritage and the intriguing tale of Fred Fisher, a story steeped in mystery and historical significance. As part of this year’s festivities, we aim to engage and educate students by sharing this captivating narrative in an interactive and entertaining format.
We propose scheduling the visit from Fred the Ghost during the lead up to the festival period, which will run from 14 October to the 31 October 2024.
The presentation will last approximately 10 minutes, offering an engaging overview suitable for all age groups. Following the presentation, schools will be provided with a comprehensive activity book filled with fun and educational exercises related to the topic. Additionally, teachers will receive a set of colourful stickers to motivate and reward students.
