Increasing our local canopy cover by urban greening and planting more street trees positively benefits our communities and environment.

The Cover Up Campbelltown – 2024 Street Tree Planting Project is funded through the NSW Government’s Greening Our Cities Grant Program. The project goal is to plant over 1300 new street trees in suburbs with very low canopy cover.

What have we done?

We consulted with the community in Blair Athol, Bow Bowing and Woodbine in late 2023 to provide information about the program, the benefits of trees and to provide the option of opting out if they didn't want a tree.

What's next?

For those who did not opt out, planting will commence in the winter months of this year.
