Consultation has concluded
Campbelltown City Council has established a Local Planning Panel (the Panel) to determine various applications for development, including applications of high value, corruption risk, sensitivity or strategic importance that meet criteria set by the NSW Minister for Planning. The Panel meets monthly and consists of a Chair, two independent experts and a representative of the local community. The independent experts and community representatives at each monthly meeting are chosen from a pool of suitable people.
Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from eligible representatives from the local community to be appointed to the pool of community representatives. Your role would be a part-time role paid in accordance with rates set by the NSW Government.
Membership of the Panel would be until June 2024. Councillors, property developers and real estate agents are ineligible to be Panel members.
Applicants for the community representative position will be evaluated based on demonstrated experience, understanding of local issues and service to the Campbelltown Community. All applicants must demonstrate knowledge of panel processes and the ability to adhere to Code of Conduct and Operational Procedures.
The selection criteria for the community representative position include:
Must be a current resident of the Campbelltown local government area (LGA)
